They have committed their life to Christ and have a desire to walk in His way, but doesn't always feel like it is enough when the challenges of life leave us confused about Truth. It doesn’t matter if you are struggling with your marriage, your career or your hobbies or your family. Going to church on Sunday or even adding a Bible study here and there doesn’t always give you the support you need.
This is why Lemuel Ministries exists.
When the church feels more like programs than pastors and you are searching for support, Lemuel Ministries is available. Drawing from of his experience of God's faithfulness for over 60 years, and as a pastor for over 35 years, Nelson wants to hear your story, provide prayerful direction on resources, knowing you are not alone.

About Us
Nelson and Julie Bell know firsthand the importance of having wise mentors, faithful prayer partners, and trusted guides during the difficult seasons of life. Throughout their own journey, God has used others to walk alongside them with wisdom, encouragement, and prayer. Through Lemuel Ministries, they seek to offer that same presence to others.
The Reverend Dr. L. Nelson Bell II has spent decades serving the church and caring for people in every stage of life. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Southern Methodist University, a Master of Divinity from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry from Fuller Theological Seminary. Nelson has served as Pastor of Community Life at Highland Park Presbyterian Church, where he has walked with individuals and families through moments of celebration, crisis, grief, and spiritual growth.
Nelson’s calling has always centered on meeting people where they are and helping them discern their next faithful step. Through Lemuel Ministries, he can offer spiritual guidance, prayer, and encouragement to individuals and families navigating life’s challenges and seeking God’s direction.
Julie Bell supports the ministry with a background in psychology, leadership coaching, and entrepreneurship. She holds a PhD in Sport Psychology from the University of Virginia and has spent many years coaching leaders to pursue their next level with clarity and courage.
Together, Nelson and Julie desire to strengthen pastors, churches, and the broader body of Christ by walking alongside others with wisdom, prayer, and a faithful presence.
Nelson and Julie live in Athens, Texas and are grateful for their three children.
